From Qi Bo and Zhong Jing diagnosing pulses to discern the state of Zang-Fu organs, to Braille creating dots to enlighten the blind, and further to the 32-form sign language expressing emotions—tactile reading has advanced in three progressive stages, ultimately forming a harmonious and complete cycle. It opens a profound window to the cognitive world, allowing us to dwell in the same dimension as the Divine. This is the exquisite craftsmanship of cosmic evolution, and the magnificent anthem of human wisdom.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Behold traditional Chinese pulse diagnosis: Qi Bo passed down the profound wisdom of Mai Jing (Canon of Pulses), while Zhong Jing elaborated on the subtlety of the three pulse positions (Cun, Guan, Chi). Physicians place three fingers on these positions, detecting changes in pulse depth, speed, and strength, and distinguishing patterns of deficiency, excess, cold, and heat. The pulse is the abode of blood and the commander of Qi. In a single breath, one can perceive the abundance or depletion of the five Zang-organs, and know the dryness or moistness of the six Fu-organs. As the ancient saying goes: "The pulse is the omen of heaven and earth, and the river and sea of the human body." This is not seen by the eyes, nor heard by the ears—only through the spiritual awareness of the fingertips, resonating with Qi and blood, and vibrating in harmony with Yin and Yang, can one penetrate the principles of the entire body through the touch of a square inch. Thus, pulse diagnosis is the origin of tactile reading: taking the human body as a book, pulse movements as characters, and mental comprehension as punctuation. Thus, tactile reading is not merely reading characters, bodies, or emotions—it is truly reading the principles of heaven and earth, the nature of all things, and the virtues of the Divine.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">The I Ching states: "Explore thoroughly the principles of things, exhaust their nature, and thereby reach the destiny." Tactile reading precisely explores the principles of touch, exhausts the nature of perception, and attains the realm of destiny. When the fingertips stroke the pulse, they resonate with the Qi of heaven and earth; when the fingertips touch Braille, they merge with the wisdom of sages; when the fingertips meet in sign language, they connect with the hearts of all beings. At this moment, "I" is no longer the physical self, but a self that breathes with heaven and earth, unites with all things, and dwells in the same dimension as the Divine. For touch is inherently a divine portal bestowed by heaven and earth upon all living beings—it can break the walls of cognition, open the window of profound insight, allowing us to comprehend the invisible principles within the visible, and reach the infinite realm within the finite.</p><p class="ql-block"> </p><p class="ql-block">Alas! Tactile reading, with its three realms harmoniously unified, is like the sun and moon traveling through the sky, and rivers flowing across the earth—naturally embodying the great beauty of heaven and earth. From pulse diagnosis perceiving the heart, to Braille enlightening wisdom, and to sign language communicating with the Divine—touch, through its simplest perception, interprets the most subtle principles; through its humblest touch, reaches the highest realm. This is the resonance between humanity and nature, the integration of sensibility and rationality, and even the pinnacle of human cognition, the perfection of divine creation. Therefore, it is said: Tactile reading opens a profound window to the cognitive world; the three realms unified dwell in the same dimension as the Divine.
