In 2023, the master unveiled a series of miniature works, distilling the essence of classical designs into exquisite small-scale creations that embody the philosophy of "grand artistry in delicate forms." Among these, the "Morning Glory Cup" stands out as a masterpiece.

This piece draws inspiration from the Ming and Qing dynasty white-glazed morning glory cups housed in the Palace Museum, faithfully preserving traditional craftsmanship while infusing modern aesthetic sensibilities. Crafted using Dehua's distinctive "Jianbai porcelain" technique, the cup exhibits a warm ivory hue within its milky white glaze, evoking the lustrous softness of mutton-fat jade. The form ingeniously mimics a blooming morning glory—its flared rim resembling unfurling petals, the gently curved body capturing the flower's natural droop, while the raised stem and two subtle feet form a stable tripod base, embodying the Eastern philosophy of "harmony between nature and artifice." With its refined texture, creamy yet golden-tinged glaze, and fluid lines, the piece showcases the unique charm of Dehua "Jianbai porcelain"—"white as congealed fat, yellow like honeyed wax"—and the masterful artistry of its shaping.

Honored with the Gold Award in Dehua County's "Master IP+" cultural innovation competition, the work was praised by judges for balancing traditional "form-spirit unity" with contemporary design language, setting a benchmark for the creative evolution of heritage crafts. Through this piece, Master Kou demonstrates his lifelong dedication to porcelain artistry, merging the Jianbai glaze's signature warmth with classical forms to establish a new standard for Dehua white porcelain's legacy and innovation.
