劉半農(nóng)沒有被反對聲嚇退，第二年發(fā)表了一篇文章《“她”字問題》正式提出用“她”指代女性，這次劉半農(nóng)引來了更大的指責(zé)，女權(quán)積極分子極力反對“她”字，她們認為女字旁的字都不是什么好字，像“嫉妒”、“妓”、“奸”就帶有強烈的貶義，這個“她”也好不到哪里去，為此女權(quán)積極分子整整罵了劉半農(nóng)三年。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(22, 126, 251);"> 1920年，劉半農(nóng)到英國留學(xué)，在西方受到男女平等思想洗禮的他更堅定了心中將“她”字推廣到全國的夢想，專門為“她”寫了首詩，這首詩就是文章開頭的詩《教我如何不想她》。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(22, 126, 251);"> 語言學(xué)家、音樂家趙元任1926年看到了《教我如何不想她》這首詩，深受感動。為了支持劉半農(nóng)推廣“她”，趙元任為這首詩譜了一首曲子，這首歌一夜之間紅遍大江南北，盡管還有人在罵劉半農(nóng)，但罵聲逐漸減少，使用“她”字的人越來越多，1932 年教育部把“她”列為常用字，還進入了新華字典。</b></p><p 劉半農(nóng)為了要編一本“罵人專輯”，曾在北京某報紙上刊登啟事，征求各地的“罵人語言”。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(22, 126, 251);"> 語言學(xué)家趙元任見到啟事后，立即趕往劉半農(nóng)的宿舍，用湖南、四川、安徽等地的方言把劉半農(nóng)"痛罵"了很長時間。隨后周作人也趕來，用紹興話再把劉半農(nóng)"罵"了一頓。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(22, 126, 251);"> 劉半農(nóng)在大學(xué)里授課時，因向?qū)W生們征集“罵語”，又被寧波、廣東的學(xué)生相繼用方言“大罵”。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(22, 126, 251);"> 此后，劉半農(nóng)又去拜會章太炎。章太炎也聽說了他正在收集“罵人語言”，就用漢代的罵人話“罵他”，還告訴他這句罵人話是誰說的、典出何處;接著用唐朝罵人的話“罵”他，再告訴他是誰罵的，典出何處。一直從上午說到中午。劉半農(nóng)同來的人只得出來向章太炎作揖說:“我們麻煩老師很久，現(xiàn)在我們要告辭了?！?lt;/b></p><p 新文化運動剛起步時，許多人習(xí)慣于恪守舊的傳統(tǒng)，對新文化運動和文學(xué)革命缺乏足夠的認識。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(22, 126, 251);"> 為壯大文學(xué)革命的聲勢、宣傳文學(xué)革命，錢玄同與劉半農(nóng)于民國七年(1918年)3月在《新青年》上分別扮演了正、反兩個角色，進行辯論。錢玄同化名"王敬軒"，發(fā)表了《文學(xué)革命的反響》。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(22, 126, 251);"> 這篇文章以反對新文化運動的頑固派身份，陳述新文化運動的"罪狀與弊端"，攻擊《新青年》給社會造成的"危害"；劉半農(nóng)則以新文化運動的捍衛(wèi)者身份，發(fā)表了《答王敬軒》的長篇文章，針對"王敬軒"所列的新文化運動的"罪狀"，以犀利的筆鋒逐條批駁，將對方駁得體無完膚。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block" style="text-align:center;"><b style="color:rgb(176, 79, 187);">【一語成讖】</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(22, 126, 251);"> 民國二十年(1931年)11月10日，劉半農(nóng)邀請好友數(shù)人到鄭穎孫家，其中包括曾同在倫敦待過的徐志摩。</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(22, 126, 251);"> 高朋滿座，談笑風(fēng)生之際，徐志摩接到電話，爾后笑意盈盈地說:“我明早六點南飛。明晚此時，當(dāng)與小曼共飯也。”同座中，劉半農(nóng)年齡最大，又喜開玩笑，聽徐志摩說坐飛機，便打趣道:“飛空之戲，君自好之，我則不敢嘗。”</b></p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color:rgb(22, 126, 251);"> 徐志摩回應(yīng)到:“危險在所難免，我自甘之。我茍飛死，君當(dāng)為我作挽聯(lián)。"劉半農(nóng)笑答諾。宴席散去，劉半農(nóng)與徐志摩握手道別時，徐志摩還依然笑著叮囑:“一事費神:我若死，毋忘作挽聯(lián)?！比欢?，兩文人好友之間的玩笑之詞，竟成讖語。19日，由南京到北平載著徐志摩的“濟南號”，在濟南黨家莊遇大霧失事。</b></p><p 民國二十三年(1934年)6月下旬，為了調(diào)查蒙古族牧區(qū)民俗，劉半農(nóng)遠足塞外，夜宿百靈廟一間鄉(xiāng)村草房，其他人都睡在土炕上，而他自備一行軍床，于房中支架獨臥，故作僵硬狀，開玩笑說:“我這是停柩中堂啊!”聽者為之大笑，卻不料一語成讖，在考察途中，劉半農(nóng)為虱子叮咬，染回歸熱，回京后耽誤治療，不幸于同年7月中旬離世。</b></p> <p
