Put off the meeting<br>推遲會議<br><br><br><br>④Put down放下<br>E.G. put it down<br>把它放下<br><br> <br>2. toy cupboard<br>玩具柜<br><br><br>EMMA延伸：<br>相信很多同學(xué)對<br>cupboard, cabinet有疑問，誰是誰分不清。<br><br><br>中文意思都是“柜子”<br>今天就把這個疑團(tuán)給解決掉 cupboard和cabinet可以互換使用，<br><br>每個人對于“儲物柜”的界定不一樣，<br><br>所以確實會出現(xiàn)同一個柜子，<br><br>這個人叫cupboard，另一個人叫cabinet；<br><br>所以這個不用糾結(jié)。 3.But daddy, it’s all wobbly.<br>這里佩奇說的是<br><br>爸爸之前做的一個架子搖搖晃晃的。<br><br>wobbly這個詞在生活中也是超級高頻的。<br><br>應(yīng)用場景<br>① 桌腳高低不平，桌子搖搖晃晃的<br>The table is wobbly<br>② 隊友喝醉了走路不穩(wěn)，搖搖晃晃的<br>Your daddy is wobbly.<br>③ 企鵝搖搖擺擺地在走路<br>Those penguins are wobbly. wobbly是個形容詞，它的動詞形式是wobble，<br><br>也是個高頻常用詞。<br>在很多繪本中，wobble和wobbly經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)的~ <br>4. shelf到底是“架子”還是“架子的一層”<br>這集里面出現(xiàn)了一個蠻有意思的地方，<br><br>應(yīng)該是咱們很多人的知識盲區(qū)了。 <br> 原劇句子：<br><br>Peppa: Here is a green shelf.<br><br>這是一塊綠色層板<br><br><br>Mommy: Thank you Peppa. Now I need four legs<br><br>謝謝你佩奇，現(xiàn)在我還需要四條腿<br><br><br>shelf在這集中指的是架子的一個層板！<br><br>我們經(jīng)常把shelf這個詞用來形容一個整體的架子，<br><br>這是最常用的用法；<br>但是除此之外，它還可以指層板。<br>這是不是個意外的收獲？<br><br>所以如果你想問孩子：<br>「這層上我們放什么書？」<br>就可以說：<br><br>Which books should we put on this shelf? 5.How would all our toys fit inside?<br>架子裝錯成了一個小隔間后，佩奇問：<br>我們所有的玩具怎么放得進(jìn)去？<br><br>這里又是fit的用法了，關(guān)于fit我們已經(jīng)講過幾次了。<br>具體講解，詳見之前的內(nèi)容~ <p class="ql-block">三、提問</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p><p class="ql-block">Questions:</p><p class="ql-block">1. What is this story talking about? This story is talking about the toy cupboard. When does this story happen in the beginning? It’s Peppa and George’s bedtime.</p><p class="ql-block">2. Why are all these toys on the bed? Because the toy basket is full. So they put all the toys on bed</p><p class="ql-block">3. What does mommy pig suggest to do? They need a toy cupboard.</p><p class="ql-block">4. What was the last thing daddy pig made? How's the shelf now? The last thing daddy pig made is the shelf. But it’s all wobbly and Peppa use it as a slide for teddy and Mr. dinosaur.</p><p class="ql-block">5. How can they buy the toy cupboard? What kind of cupboard do they choose, big one or small one? They can buy a toy cupboard on the computer.</p><p class="ql-block">6. Who delivers the toy cupboard? What does the parcel look like? Mr zebra the postman delivers the toy cupboard. And it looks a bit flat.</p><p class="ql-block">7. Can they use the toy cupboard directly? What do they need to do before use it? They need to build the toy cupboard. Mommy and daddy lift it upstairs.</p><p class="ql-block">8. What does daddy pig think is strange? It’s strange because there aren’t any instructions.</p><p class="ql-block">9. Is mommy pig able to build the toy cupboard? How does mommy pig build the toy cupboard? No, she is not able to build it without instructions. But mommy pig thinks it is so easy to build it without instruction. First, she needs a shelf. Peppa gives her a green shelf. Then, she needs 4 legs, Peppa and George pass her four blue legs. And daddy pig gives a red door to mommy pig. But it looks a bit small, they can’t put all the toys inside. It’s impossible for all the toys to fit inside.</p><p class="ql-block">10. Why is the toy cupboard that mommy built is so tiny? Because mommy pig has not used all the pieces. They have to take it apart and start again.</p><p class="ql-block">11. Who has found instructions? What does daddy pig feel when he just gets the instruction? Mr zebra has found the instructions in his van. Daddy pig is pleased and he thinks the instructions will make things a lot easier.</p><p class="ql-block">12. What happens to daddy pig after he reads the instructions? The instructions look very complicated and he thinks it’s not good and nonsense.</p><p class="ql-block">13. Who can help them build the toy cupboard? Mr zebra can help them build the cupboard because he is quite enjoying putting things together.</p><p class="ql-block">14. How can Peppa and her family help Mr zebra? They can put the kettle on and make a cup of tea with six sugars for Mr zebra.</p><p class="ql-block">15. Has Mr zebra built the toy cupboard well? What has he put inside? Why hasn’t Teddy and Mr dinosaur been put inside the cupboard? Because there is no room for them.</p><p class="ql-block">16.
