<p class="ql-block">ICC教育項(xiàng)目依托北京外國語大學(xué)強(qiáng)大的學(xué)術(shù)平臺(tái),由學(xué)校中外專家團(tuán)隊(duì)自主研發(fā)。ICC項(xiàng)目是海南自貿(mào)港和海南國際教育創(chuàng)新島建設(shè)背景下應(yīng)運(yùn)而生的教育創(chuàng)新項(xiàng)目,在外語教育和國際化教育探索上均走在全國前列。ICC代表Immersion(沉浸式), CLIL(學(xué)科英語)和Cross-culture(跨文化),包含了全球最前沿的外語教育理念和方法。ICC項(xiàng)目的教育目標(biāo)是培養(yǎng)具有中國氣派和全球勝任力的國際化精英,為學(xué)生成長為國際型、復(fù)合型和創(chuàng)新型人才打下全球素養(yǎng)的堅(jiān)實(shí)基礎(chǔ)。</p> <p class="ql-block"><b style="color: rgb(237, 35, 8);">What is ICC? </b></p><p class="ql-block">ICC是什么?</p><p class="ql-block"><span style="color: rgb(237, 35, 8);">ICC contains three levels of meanings.</span></p><p class="ql-block">ICC包含三層意思:</p><p class="ql-block"><span style="color: rgb(255, 138, 0);">(1)International Curriculum Class</span></p><p class="ql-block"> 國際課程班</p><p class="ql-block"><span style="color: rgb(255, 138, 0);">(2)Immersion; Cross-culture; CLIL</span></p><p class="ql-block"> 沉浸式;跨文化;學(xué)科英語</p><p class="ql-block"><span style="color: rgb(255, 138, 0);">(3)I can create</span></p><p class="ql-block"> 原創(chuàng)教學(xué)內(nèi)容</p> <p class="ql-block"><b style="color: rgb(237, 35, 8);"><u>Let’s get known about International Curriculum Class. </u></b>我們先了解一下什么是國際課程班</p><p class="ql-block">ICC is the abbreviation for International Curriculum Class. What kind of class is called International class? Our philosophy goes like this. English is the most international language in the world, so teaching English and teaching all kinds of subjects in English is first things first. Enabling the Chinese students to have proficiency in English will empower them to become a global Chinese.</p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color: rgb(255, 138, 0);"><u>ICC是國際課程班的簡稱。</u></b>什么樣的班級被稱為國際班?我們的理念是這樣的,英語是世界上最國際化的語言,所以用英語教授英語和各種學(xué)科是首要的。讓中國學(xué)生熟練掌握英語,才能助力他們真正成為全球化的中國人。</p><p class="ql-block">Toward this end, establishing two teams of English teachers is required for International Curriculum Class, foreign English teachers and Chinese English teachers, either of whom has their own advantages. Foreign teachers speak natural and idiomatic English and they themselves bring inter-culture naturally while Chinese English teachers have real experience in learning English as a foreigner and they can teach effectively with the crutch of the Chinese language.</p><p class="ql-block"><b style="color: rgb(255, 138, 0);"><u>國際課程班需要建立兩支英語教師隊(duì)伍</u></b>,外籍英語教師和中教英語教師各有所長。外籍教師講的英語自然地道,他們自己也自然地帶來了跨文化交流;而中國英語教師有作為一個(gè)外國人學(xué)習(xí)英語的真實(shí)經(jīng)驗(yàn),他們可以在漢語的拐杖作用下有效地教學(xué)。</p><p class="ql-block">The selection, integration and creation of international teaching materials are also crucial to the fruitful development of International Curriculum Class. We choose Kids’ Box as the language art textbook, for it’s an authoritative and systematic English course for Chinese children. We also translate all the National textbooks of different subjects into English because China National Curriculums of basic education is ahead of the world.</p><p class="ql-block">國際課程班卓有成效的發(fā)展,<b style="color: rgb(255, 138, 0);"><u>國際化教材的選擇、整合和創(chuàng)編也至關(guān)重要</u></b>。我們選擇劍橋Kids’ Box作為語言藝術(shù)教材,是因?yàn)樗且惶揍槍χ袊鴥和臋?quán)威、系統(tǒng)的英語教程。我們也把所有不同科目的國家教科書翻譯成英語,因?yàn)橹袊鴩一A(chǔ)教育課程是世界領(lǐng)先的。</p><p class="ql-block">Last but not least, teaching approaches are supposed to be internationalized as well. That’s why we have adopted immersive teaching, Project-based Learning , Task-based learning, Scouting and Mentorship so far, since the dominant approach in China is examination-oriented and knowledge indoctrination. </p><p class="ql-block">最后,<b style="color: rgb(255, 138, 0);"><u>教學(xué)方法也應(yīng)該國際化</u></b>。這就是為什么我們到目前為止會(huì)采用沉浸式教學(xué),基于項(xiàng)目的學(xué)習(xí),基于任務(wù)的學(xué)習(xí),童子軍和導(dǎo)師制,因?yàn)樵谥袊贾鲗?dǎo)地位的方法是以考試為導(dǎo)向和知識灌輸。</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block"><b style="color: rgb(237, 35, 8);"><u>Let’s get known about Immersion,Cross-culture and CLIL.</u></b></p><p class="ql-block"> The second layer of the meaning of ICC stands for Immersion, Cross-culture and CLIL.</p><p class="ql-block">讓我們來了解一下ICC所代表的第二層意思,那就是沉浸式、跨文化及學(xué)科英語。</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block"><b style="color: rgb(237, 35, 8);"><u>What is immersion?</u></b></p><p class="ql-block">Immersion is the approach in which students hear and speak the second language almost exclusively in the classroom. </p><p class="ql-block">There are different time periods for immersion education: </p><ol class="ql-block"><li>Early immersion (from 5 or 6 years old)</li><li>Middle immersion (from 9 or 10)</li><li> Late immersion (between the ages of 11 and 14)</li></ol><p class="ql-block">什么是沉浸式?</p><p class="ql-block">浸入式教學(xué)法是指學(xué)生幾乎完全在課堂上聽和說第二語言的方法。</p><p class="ql-block">浸入式教育有不同的時(shí)間段:</p><p class="ql-block">早期浸入式教育(從5、6歲開始)</p><p class="ql-block">中等浸入式(從9或10年級開始)</p><p class="ql-block">晚期浸入式教育(11歲至14歲)</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block"><b style="font-size: 22px; color: rgb(255, 138, 0);">Differing formats for immersion education</b></p><p class="ql-block">Complete immersion is when 100% of the class time is spent in the foreign language. The goals of complete immersion include becoming completely functional in the foreign language while mastering the subject areas being taught (e.g. math or science).</p><p class="ql-block">Partial immersion is when approximately 50% of the class time is spent learning subject matter in the foreign language. The goals are to become functionally proficient in the second language, to master subject content taught in the foreign languages, and to acquire an understanding of and appreciation for other cultures, but to a lesser extent than complete immersion programs.</p><p class="ql-block">浸入式教育的不同形式</p><p class="ql-block">完全沉浸式學(xué)習(xí)是指100%的課堂時(shí)間都是用外語進(jìn)行的。完全浸入式學(xué)習(xí)的目標(biāo)包括在掌握所學(xué)學(xué)科領(lǐng)域(如數(shù)學(xué)或科學(xué))的同時(shí),完全掌握外語。</p><p class="ql-block">部分浸入式是指大約50%的課堂時(shí)間用于學(xué)習(xí)外語的主題內(nèi)容。其目標(biāo)是成為功能上精通第二語言,掌握用外語教授的學(xué)科內(nèi)容,并獲得對其他文化的理解和欣賞,但在一定程度上低于完整的浸入式課程。</p> <p class="ql-block">Why Immersion in our school?</p><p class="ql-block">In an immersion program, learners will be totally immersed in the language by learning almost all school subjects, such as math, science and social studies in the target language, with the main purpose of developing learner’s language proficiency to the largest extent.</p><p class="ql-block">English education in China usually starts from Grade 3 in elementary schools. But the problem is after more than 10 years of English study, only a tiny portion of the learners have relatively higher language proficiency. The phenomenon of “Deaf English” is still prevalent. The students are asked to parrot and memorize the words and sentences mechanically in traditional English classrooms. They don’t have the language environment to fully understand, appreciate, absorb and apply the language they learn. It turns out that the words and sentences become meaningless and useless. Gradually, the students will lose interest in learning English.</p><p class="ql-block">在浸入式學(xué)習(xí)中,學(xué)習(xí)者將完全沉浸在語言中,用目標(biāo)語言學(xué)習(xí)幾乎所有的學(xué)科,如數(shù)學(xué)、科學(xué)和社會(huì)科學(xué),其主要目的是最大程度地提高學(xué)習(xí)者的語言能力。</p><p class="ql-block">中國的英語教育通常從小學(xué)三年級開始。但問題是,經(jīng)過十多年的英語學(xué)習(xí),只有一小部分學(xué)習(xí)者具有相對較高的語言能力。“聾子英語”現(xiàn)象仍然普遍存在。在傳統(tǒng)的英語課堂上,學(xué)生被要求機(jī)械地死記硬背單詞和句子。他們沒有充分理解、欣賞、吸收和應(yīng)用所學(xué)習(xí)語言的語言環(huán)境,因此,事實(shí)證明,單詞和句子變得毫無意義,毫無用處。漸漸地,學(xué)生會(huì)失去學(xué)習(xí)英語的興趣。</p><p class="ql-block"><br></p> <p class="ql-block"><b style="color: rgb(237, 35, 8);"><u>What is Cross-cultur in ICC?</u></b></p><p class="ql-block">Cross-culture actually means cultivating the intercultural competence of the students, helping them to be able to communicate effectively in different cultural environments, build interpersonal relationships and adapt to local systems.</p><p class="ql-block">Intercultural competence comprises three aspects:</p><ol class="ql-block"><li> Communication competence </li><li> Cultural empathy </li><li>Establishing interpersonal relationship </li></ol><p class="ql-block">什么是ICC的跨文化?</p><p class="ql-block">跨文化實(shí)際上就是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的跨文化能力,幫助他們能夠在不同的文化環(huán)境中進(jìn)行有效的溝通,建立人際關(guān)系,適應(yīng)當(dāng)?shù)氐纳鐣?huì)環(huán)境。</p><p class="ql-block">跨文化能力包括三個(gè)方面:</p><p class="ql-block">1. 溝通能力</p><p class="ql-block">2. 文化移情</p><p class="ql-block">3. 建立人際關(guān)系</p> <p class="ql-block"><b style="color: rgb(237, 35, 8); font-size: 22px;">What is CLIL?</b></p><p class="ql-block">CLIL is short for Contents and language integrated learning, which means the “double focus” teaching mode of teaching non-language courses in foreign languages. The CLIL teaching concept is very close to how we originally learned our mother tongue, and it is considered a more natural way to develop language skills.</p><p class="ql-block">什么是CLIL?</p><p class="ql-block">CLIL是Contents and language integrated learning(內(nèi)容與語言整合學(xué)習(xí))的縮寫,即用外語教授非語言類課程的“雙焦點(diǎn)”教學(xué)模式。CLIL的教學(xué)理念非常接近我們最初學(xué)習(xí)母語的方式,它被認(rèn)為是一種更自然的方式來發(fā)展語言能力。</p> <p class="ql-block"><b style="color: rgb(237, 35, 8); font-size: 22px;"><u>ICC=I Create the Contents</u></b></p><p class="ql-block">All roads lead to Rome, but there surely is a shortcut of them. There is never a definite way of teaching, but there must be a good way to be discovered. ICC is a innovative program invented by both Chinese and foreign teachers of Hainan Foreign Language School Affiliated to BFSU. It is Creative that keeps the international program dynamic, so the third layer of the meaning behind ICC is I Create the Contents.</p><p class="ql-block">ICC=我創(chuàng)建內(nèi)容</p><p class="ql-block">條條大路通羅馬,但總有一條捷徑。教學(xué)從來沒有一個(gè)確定的方法,但一定有一個(gè)好的方法被發(fā)現(xiàn)。ICC是由北京外國語大學(xué)附屬海南外國語學(xué)校的中外教師共同發(fā)明的創(chuàng)新項(xiàng)目。正是創(chuàng)意使國際課程充滿活力,所以ICC背后的第三層含義是我創(chuàng)造內(nèi)容。</p>
