<p class="ql-block">因?yàn)橐咔橐延袔啄晡闯鲂?，第一晚在西雅圖訪一下幾年未見的表姐和表姐夫，華盛頓州的氣候地貌與溫哥華相似，拍的照片也相似（圖一二）只是我們相見甚歡而矣。不過，去哪兒旅游不重要，重要的是跟誰一起玩。</p><p class="ql-block">我先生是位知識淵博的理工男，行程安排就交給他了。所以告別了表姐和姐夫，理工男帶我奔向的遠(yuǎn)方，就是美國史上人類的最偉大工程之一 Grand Coulee Dam（被我翻譯成：偉大的苦力水壩[偷笑]）這個(gè)水電站在三峽大壩出現(xiàn)之前就是全世界最大的水電站，建它用掉的水泥，可以鋪一條從華盛頓州到佛羅里達(dá)州的高速公路還有余。發(fā)電量至今仍是全美第一??</p> <p class="ql-block">下面是我先生寫的游記文字。</p><p class="ql-block">We drove across the border from Vancouver. There is no waiting at the border. That’s fantastic. We spent a night in Seattle, with friends. Then we drove east. </p><p class="ql-block">Washington call itself the evergreen state. But that is true only for the western part. The eastern part is very dry. The coastal mountain gives abundant rain to the west and blocks almost all moisture to the east. For most part of the east, it was a never green state, at least before the construction of the Grand Coulee Dam.</p><p class="ql-block">We drove east toward the Grand Coulee Dam. It’s the largest hydro dam in US, and was the largest hydro dam in the world until the Three Gorge Dam was built. The Grand Coulee Dam is truly grand. It produces three times more electricity than the Hoover Dam. Somehow, the Hoover Dam is a lot more famous. </p><p class="ql-block">The Grand Coulee Dam was built around the same time as the Hoover Dam. This reflected the mood of America at that time. This mood was best captured by Woody Guthrie’s song Grand Coulee Dam.</p><p class="ql-block">Well, the world has seven wonders, the travelers always tell</p><p class="ql-block">Some gardens and some towers, I guess you know them well</p><p class="ql-block">But the greatest wonder is in Uncle Sam's fair land</p><p class="ql-block">It's that King Columbia River and the big Grand Coulee Dam</p><p class="ql-block">She heads up the Canadian Rockies where the rippling waters glide</p><p class="ql-block">Comes a-rumbling down the canyon to meet that salty tide</p><p class="ql-block">Of the wide Pacific Ocean where the sun sets in the west</p><p class="ql-block">And the big Grand Coulee country in the land I love the best</p><p class="ql-block">In the misty crystal glitter of that wild and windward spray</p><p class="ql-block">Men have fought the pounding waters and met a watery grave</p><p class="ql-block">Well, she tore their boats to splinters but she gave men dreams to dream</p><p class="ql-block">Of the day the Coulee Dam would cross that wild and wasted stream</p><p class="ql-block">Uncle Sam took up the challenge in the year of Thirty three</p><p class="ql-block">For the farmer and the factory and all of you and me</p><p class="ql-block">He said, "Roll along Columbia. But the hard work that went into the Grand Coulee Dam still benefit today’s population greatly. It still irrigates large amount of farmland, turning wasteland into green fertile agricultural fields. class="ql-block">這是美國的utah州，一個(gè)民風(fēng)純樸，大多數(shù)居民信守上帝契約精神的地方。在這里你看到最多的建筑就是教堂，每隔三五條街就有一個(gè)教堂?? 周日所見都是穿戴整齊的人們?nèi)ソ烫米龆Y拜</p> <p class="ql-block">我們來此地，是為了和孩子們相聚</p> <p class="ql-block">疫情幾年旅行被禁，小朋友從嬰兒長到四歲，時(shí)間在孩子的身上突顯了變化</p> <p class="ql-block">我們一起畫畫共度美好時(shí)光</p> <p class="ql-block">這是在我們短租的民宿房前畫了兩張寫生</p> <p class="ql-block">在塵世中，我們都是孤身而來，能感受到溫暖是愛的親情陪伴</p> <p class="ql-block">還有友情</p> <p class="ql-block">這組照片是在Pioneer Park 先驅(qū)園拍攝的。在我研讀經(jīng)文時(shí)，最感動的就是這些先驅(qū)者的故事。他們從美國紐約一直西遷至Utah尤他州。這些先驅(qū)們徒步跋涉長征，開荒建城，硬把一塊無人愿生存的荒蕪之地拓建成上帝的樂園。不得不感嘆我們真的是前人栽樹 后人乘涼，附上截圖關(guān)于先驅(qū)們的一則小故事。這個(gè)城市也是我和先生很喜歡的城市。小朋友不少，很有生機(jī)和朝氣。因?yàn)槭切磐奖姸嗟某鞘校梢愿惺艿矫耧L(fēng)樸實(shí)和圣潔的氣氛。</p> <p class="ql-block">在游樂場，在博物館?時(shí)光匆匆，只有記憶不愿意匆忙，我家這位小朋友最喜歡扮演迪斯尼故事里長長頭發(fā)的Rapunzel，回家我畫了這幅畫?！【庉嬃艘粋€(gè)小視頻收錄了更多人物片于此鏈接：<a class="ql-block">在和孩子們道別后，出鹽湖城開始踏上歸程，沿途一望無際的風(fēng)景就是鹽堿地和遼原卻干旱的大地。說句內(nèi)心話，沒水的地方是真的讓人擔(dān)憂的。遇到車壞了，肯定走不出去。難怪沿途偶有看到關(guān)犯人的監(jiān)獄。這種干旱地，廣闊得插翅難飛。晚上在一個(gè)叫Fernley小鎮(zhèn)的Desert Rose營地里歇息，這個(gè)小鎮(zhèn)很多地名叫什么Lake湖之類的，轉(zhuǎn)到那地方什么湖也沒有，除了植被稍綠一些。先生說這是人們?nèi)笔裁淳蛯κ裁吹拿篮门瓮?。那晚營地的風(fēng)大極了，賬蓬都要靠石頭壓住邊角。第二天早早上路，駕駛到Reno, 這是除拉斯維加斯以外的第二大賭城。看到城中有條河，讓我們眼前一亮，喜歡上了這個(gè)城市，決定把車停下，散會兒步?</p> <p class="ql-block">在Reno的河邊散步至市中心逛逛，正趕上當(dāng)?shù)氐墓哦囌埂＿@些老車，都錚亮錚亮的，比新車還新，只說明一點(diǎn)，車主太愛惜它們了。我對車沒有愛好，但看這些車的造型，也覺得好看和開了眼界?</p> <p class="ql-block">接著去了Lake Tahoe湖，有塊碑文刻著馬克吐溫說的話：”這一定是世上最美的風(fēng)景，天使呼吸的空氣，即使木乃伊吸了一口也可以生還?！?我說美當(dāng)然也美，被他說得也夸張了一點(diǎn)兒吧。先生琢磨了一下說，馬克吐溫是1861年去的，那時(shí)沒車，徒步跋涉在森林里幾個(gè)月，終于見到這湖，感受和我們開車幾小時(shí)就抵達(dá)是不一樣的。來之不易的幸福感更強(qiáng)烈。Sacramento是我們抵達(dá)的下一個(gè)城市，它是加州的州府所在地。圖六至九是州議會大樓。</p> <p class="ql-block">去完議會大廈，順路拐進(jìn)了州府圖書館圖七。一個(gè)挺好的圖書館，但參觀的人只有我們兩個(gè)。接著前行，晚上找到一家叫Clearwater Lake 的營地。營地里沒見什么人，就一位不年輕的女人，她帶著兩條狗，騎電動自行車旅行。我邀她一道晚歺，她說不了，你太甜蜜了。非常感謝。我不敢勉強(qiáng)，擔(dān)心別人憂慮疫情這事兒。但她卻和我們聊開了，知道我們從加拿大來，說加拿大的卡車司機(jī)真?zhèn)ゴ?，說自己的媽媽原本身體很健康，自打完苗苗后，立馬頭發(fā)掉光，人就成了一具骷髏。除了痛心和禱告，我無言以對。問她去哪兒？一個(gè)人騎車旅行不易。她說就是走走停停，自由在路上。想起前面在離開黃石公園去Utah的路上，一天清晨，我們選了一個(gè)山頂美景眺望臺準(zhǔn)備早餐，來了一對騎自行車旅游的父子，他們從德國來的。問我們能否幫他們帶包垃圾在有垃圾箱的地方扔掉，這樣可以減輕負(fù)行。我們說好的??又問他們要不要一起吃早歺。他們說：”好”。我給他們每人做了份雞蛋煎牛角包??。他們吃完說，加拿大人都這樣吃嗎？太美味了。哈哈哈，我說，是我的原創(chuàng)。其實(shí)旅行是你有多強(qiáng)的意愿決定你去到多遠(yuǎn)，方式也是多樣的。這兩個(gè)旅途中遇到的人都騎車上路。德國這對父子從紐約騎到黃石公園再接著去鹽湖城。這個(gè)不年輕的女人還帶了兩條狗同行，大家以不同的方式，在各自的旅途上?</p> <p class="ql-block">旅途在北美西海岸的紅杉木Redwood樹林中，我們?nèi)ラ_車穿過一個(gè)樹洞，可見這些樹木之大。這些樹木長了上千年，每棵樹都是一部史書。這些樹木在白人來到這片土地之前，也生長在我們加拿大的BC省，據(jù)記載以前世上最高的樹是在加拿大?？上]有像歷史上的加州人民那樣反對砍樹而得以存留。只在溫哥華島上還略有生存。這個(gè)樹洞是私人收費(fèi)的公園，20年代所建，這家以此經(jīng)營為生已有幾代。估計(jì)后來法律規(guī)定對樹實(shí)施了各種保護(hù)。這就成了旅客獨(dú)一無二的好奇心體驗(yàn)。$15美金一部車穿越一次。我先生也寫了一篇這一帶的有關(guān)游記，一并分享于此</p><p 是我們途經(jīng)線路上歷史悠久的一個(gè)港口城市。舊時(shí)代的輝煌在這個(gè)城市的房屋建筑上得到充分體現(xiàn)。Carson Mansion 圖一的毫宅在北美的大小城市中真不多見。其它的民宅也有精彩特色。這個(gè)早年以漁業(yè)和貿(mào)易為生的城市，可以想象它的繁榮，如今卻是一種走下坡的衰勢。圖書館有極大一面墻的玻璃面對海灣，人卻不多，也沒見什么小孩子，而且一天只開放兩三個(gè)小時(shí)，要求帶口罩的地方不少。這里有極美的海邊，細(xì)沙灘綿延無際。赤足在被太陽曬燙的沙灘上，非常享受和療愈。這一刻我都想是不是該在此度余生，但在城中散步時(shí)又收回了我的想法。因?yàn)樵诔侵锌吹搅撕枚啻蟠笮⌒〉穆蓭熓聞?wù)所，一個(gè)那么小的城市能養(yǎng)活那么多律師事務(wù)所，是該有多少紛爭的是非之地?。亢蚉rovo相比，那個(gè)城市有好多教堂，有樸實(shí)熱情的人和歡笑的孩子們，感受到的能量的確不同。</p> <p class="ql-block">繼續(xù)行駛在紅杉木林旁?</p><p class="ql-block">這些由造物主親手播種，</p><p class="ql-block">排列整齊陣營的紅杉：</p><p class="ql-block">沒有其他氣候會對它如此尊寵。</p><p class="ql-block">沒有其他土地知道他們的榮耀。</p><p class="ql-block">這些地球上最巨大的生存者，</p><p class="ql-block">以高大而嘲笑并戰(zhàn)勝暴風(fēng)雨；</p><p class="ql-block">歷過五十個(gè)世紀(jì)的王朝，</p><p class="ql-block">挑戰(zhàn)他們?nèi)允且粋€(gè)戒指面上的迷。</p><p 河畔的營地宿營一晚，畫了張寫生。Klamath是加州第二大河，河景很美，蚊子也多。接著上路Oregon, 途中下來加油，和旁人聊天問起當(dāng)?shù)赜惺裁春猛娴牡胤剑勘镜厝烁嬖V我們有這么一個(gè)很出名的大理石洞叫Oregon Caves. 此洞最早是一個(gè)獵人的狗發(fā)現(xiàn)的。它帶著主人在洞里轉(zhuǎn)悠了好半天才知道這洞有一兩公里的途徑。他們開始收費(fèi)帶人參觀。這洞有許多岔路，在一個(gè)分支的小徑上，還發(fā)現(xiàn)了大棕熊的遺骨，估計(jì)是迷路出不了洞口而滅亡。蝙蝠也在此安家過冬。大理石洞在美國總共有兩個(gè)，一個(gè)于此，另一個(gè)在愛德華州。這個(gè)洞不小，某處平臺還曾經(jīng)有人扮成Caveman 來舉行婚禮。只是前來的山路崎嶇，很多彎。離開時(shí)，我接手先生一路辛苦開車，讓他瞇一會兒。這窄路下山，我覺得像是在開過山車，夠暈眩??但這一程若不是下來加油，若不是隨口問了旁人，都不會去看這個(gè)精彩的洞。感覺是上帝安排我們?nèi)サ?。不過這三年對旅游業(yè)的影響是巨大的。在景點(diǎn)入口處有三幢古樸的木板建筑旅館都因無人居住營業(yè)失修而廢棄了?這個(gè)世界，處處讓我們看興衰，好在現(xiàn)在已漸漸有不少游客了</p> <p class="ql-block">行至Oregan 的海邊，看到迎風(fēng)而立的樹都長成這樣了。我不提一字，請你意會風(fēng)言風(fēng)語?</p> <p class="ql-block">先生說，＂我們下一站就去你說過最想去的Crater Lake。＂＂??？這是什么地方？我什么時(shí)候說的？”＂你上次看到一張這個(gè)地方的風(fēng)景照片傳給我告訴我的”</p><p class="ql-block">這一瞬間，我有一種觸心的感動。理工男就是這樣不露山水，不動聲色地把我n年前說的連我自己都忘了的地方，引領(lǐng)出來?</p><p class="ql-block">這個(gè)火山湖是全美國最深的湖，也是世界上最清澈的湖。全美第二深湖是我們前面去的Lake Tahoe </p><p class="ql-block">在近50萬年，這Crater Lake是北美最大的火山爆發(fā)造成的。開車?yán)@湖一圈，只有一處可以近到湖邊（圖四）這么清澈的水一定得浸過才算來過，我跳進(jìn)去，水蓋過頭頂，算是在全世界最清的水里受洗了一下，此生無憾</p> <p class="ql-block">清晨上路，多么美好的日出(Waldport, Oregon)</p> <p class="ql-block">日出</p><p
